Watercolor workshop with Dylan Pierce

A private facebook group will also be available afterwards for feedback and critiques. Workshop limited to 20 students. ​ ​ This class will focus on how to "capture the soul." Dylan will show how various art principles can be used to thoughtfully convey a specific mood, emotion and story. Also, Dylan will use sketches and demonstrate how drawing can start your painting off strong and on the right course. This will be a step-by-step class with lots of demos that students may follow along with.​ ​ ​ This class includes how to make artistic design choices using: • The elements of art • Lost and found edges  • Complementary grays • Juxtaposing colors Also we will use the essential techniques of watercolor: • Transparent glazing • Timing of wetness • Dry into damp vs. wet into wet • Matching wetness • Warm to cool color theory  • Negative painting ​ Contact: Dylan Pierce dsp-art@comcast.net ​
